Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Pater (Vinland Saga)

Reasoning: Honestly, he’s one of the real ones. Despite the consequences his actions could have caused, he ignored them all in effort to protect those who don't have a voice. Some of those so-called “Heroes” from My Hero Academia should take down some notes.

MIP Award: Class 1-A (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: Class 1-A has completely evolved in every aspect. From the individuals to the group, they have all excelled on their own path in order to achieve something greater than themselves. If a Hero can’t protect their peers…who can they protect?

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Masato Tachibana (Tokyo Revenger)

Reasoning: The typical father, Masato, continues his attempt to influence the life of his daughter based on his own ideals. The setback of narrow vision is losing sight of the potential that other perspectives may have to offer.

Reasoning: Shinzo wo Sasageyo!

What's Your Perspective?

MIP Award: Thorfinn (Vinland Saga)

Reasoning: What does it mean to be a true warrior? The fuel of hatred and revenge was Thorfinn's only purpose in life, however, he is beginning to show himself and the audience that physical altercation isn't the only warfare we endure, as the true battle is within ourselves.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: All For One (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: Manipulation and deceit comes all to easily for All For One, as he relentlessly continues to submerge the My Hero Academia world into absolute chaos. The fear he instills serves as a constant reminder to the heroes that despite their powers, they are nothing more than a bunch of humans running around in costume.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

2/27/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Izuku Midoriya | Deku (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: WHO WANTS THE SMOKE??? Literally, who wants it because Deku is giving it out. This is not the same crybaby Plus Ultra boy we’ve come to know, this is a man whose only concern is completing the mission. In other words…He’ll be fine.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Sanji (One Piece)

Reasoning: Most improved goes without question. This man's body… IS different. The Zoom Zoom boy should have quit while he was ahead and finished him off because this flame footed chef is about to COOK.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Thorgill (Vinland Saga)

Reasoning: Thorgill is the personification of the malice that feeds on war. His time on the front lines has buried his morals deep below the rage and hunger of battle. The cloud that follows Thorgill is one that brings fear to all whom fall under its rain.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

2/19/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Lady Nagant (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: Arguably one of the most proficient users of their ability, Lady Nagant takes her profession to a whole other level as a sharpshooter. If you want to talk about value, she is soloing one of the most powerful characters in the series and holding her own. Disrupting the hero's plan efficiently and effortlessly is child's play for the likes of this hawk eyed shooter.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Bachira (Blue Lock)

Reasoning: Taking yourself out of your own head is a challenge for most, and this recent episode has shown that Bachira has the will to overcome his own habits to excel and reinvent himself as a new animal, while remaining the same beast.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Hakkai Shiba (Tokyo Revenger)

Reasoning: Hakkai receives this week's MAP award as he convinced himself that there was absolutely nothing he could do to change his situation, even if it meant witnessing the abuse of family. True courage lies in the selfless actions we do to protect others.

What's Your Perspective?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

2/12/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Canute (Vinland Saga)

Reasoning: From being as fragile as wet loose leaf paper to commanding an entire army, Canute has earned his spot as MVP for the sheer amount of growth of himself and his territory. Canute does not ask for respect, he commands it. Do NOT question this boy's authority because you WILL get checked.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Izuku Midoryia: Deku (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: I don't even know if there is much to be said about this man. Constantly risking his life for others, upgrading his fit and attitude, this is what maturity is all about. Deku is truly making One for All his own power and is now packing up villains like school lunch.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Charlotte Perospero (One piece)

Reasoning:Reasoning: Easily one of the most unlikeable characters to date, Charlotte Perospero is so infuriatingly annoying, from his laugh, his demeanor and his ridiculously long tongue. Also his fit is atrocious, somebody needs to tell him that yellow is NOT his color.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

2/5/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)

Reasoning: Ladies and gentleman, allow me to reintroduce...The Future King of Pirates, Monkey D Luffy. Luffy is the blueprint for a leader. Someone who not only takes charge and motivates his allies and friends to succeed, but someone who also prove their gangster by coming back into a fight swinging after almost dying. How can he lose, if he's already chose, Like?

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Shiva (Record of Ragnarök)

Reasoning: This dance loving God of destruction faced many adversities on his path to becoming the pinnacle of his realm. Pursuing to strive forward, carrying on the legacies of those whom fell before him has catapulted Shiva into the God he is today.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Shoei Baro (Blue Lock)

Reasoning: Stubborn doesn't even begin to describe his actions. Even after acknowledging that his play style was not producing results, he still refused to change. This is the depths to which ego can take you if you are not prepared to swim. Don't be this guy.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

1/29/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Brunhilde (Record of Ragnarok)

Reasoning: Brunhilde has become one of our favorite characters as she is orchestrating one of the most impressive displays of disrespect ever by challenging the gods themselves. Leading the living against the deities that rule over them, Brunhilde has been able to once again instigate new levels of fear that are new to these gods with the next selection being Jack the Ripper. The gods will fear man, if not for their tenacity, then for their infinite malice.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Kozuki Momonosuke (One Piece)

Reasoning: He finally grew up (ah ha ha…) and has been able to face his fears head on, even if his eyes are shut. Literally catapulting the future pirate king back into action despite his personal fears and insecurities, Momo is finally coming up CLUTCH.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Enji Todoroki Endeavor (Father) (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: Endeavor's jealous obsession with All Might completely corrupted him leading to the toxic runoff of his frustrations to seep into the blood of his children. Spiteful and insecure, Endeavor was unable to face what he became, and in turn ran from his family and fatherhood. The true heroes are the ones who can survive what he put his family through, and light their own paths, whether by red or blue flames…

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

1/22/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Yoichi Isagi (Blue Lock) vs Chifuyu Matsuno (Tokyo Revengers)

Isagi Reasoning: GET OUT HIS WAY, AND LET THAT BOY COOK

Chifuyu Reasoning: Chifiyu has presented true value when it comes to loyalty. Someone's ability to lend an ear in a time of need is sometimes the best thing you can offer.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Isagi

  • Chifuyu

MIP Award: Yamato (Oden) (One Piece)

Reasoning: Yamato receives the award for most improved player for their ability to overcome their abusive upbringing and develop their strengths to be able to stand toe to toe against Kaido, their father. Considering Luffy has failed numerous times to take down the Blue Dragon himself, Yamato’s persistence and strength to still throw hands is extremely baller.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Einar (Vinland Saga)

Reasoning: This man WILL NOT STOP TALKING…leave that boy thorfinn ALONE, he's been through too much. We understand that this all must be a “culture shock” for him, but like...come on guy, look around you.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

1/15/23

Season 2

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Itoshi Rin (Blue Lock)

Reasoning: If you want to talk about players with the most “value”, Itoshi is your man. Value in Blue Lock comes from being able to turn “0” into “1” which is the bare minimum with Itoshi’s capability. Itoshi Rin has what the kids these days would refer to as... "Rizz".

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Roronoa Zoro (One Piece)

Reasoning: Do I even have to say anything about the boy for this recent episode....DOG! *.

What's Your Perspective ?

MAP Award: Taiju Shiba (Tokyo Revengers)

Reasoning: Even if you’re not a fan of Tokyo Revengers, Taiju is still the type of person to get on your nerves. Straight Black Air Force 1 Energy through and through; Talk about being unnecessarily ignorant, he might have Mark Phillips* beat for #1 instigator at the Hood Olympics.

12/25/22

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Shigeo Kageyama - Mob (Mob Psycho 100)

Reasoning: A hats off finale. The true strength of Mob is not his physic powers, but his ability to ignore the pursuit and abuse of his gifts in order to develop himself as a person. The pursuit of humanity and selflessness transcends any power you may possess, as Mob’s journey is one that has continuously gravitated people towards him…making the worst of enemies, into the best of allies. Mob has finally become at peace with who he is by facing his toughest opponent of all…himself.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Yoichi Isagi (Blue Lock)

Reasoning: This recent episode of Blue Lock has put Isagi into a stage where he must prioritize what must be done in order to win. He must expel any thoughts of support from teammates as in real game situations, you often find yourself alone on the field. Isagi is finally realizing that to truly stand out amongst the others, he must develop the strength to fight alone. To grow is to tremble at your own evolution.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: One Piece Pacing (One Piece)

Reasoning: HOW MANY TIMES WILL WE HAVE TO REWATCH OLD CLIPS OF WANO. One Piece's pacing is the winner for this weeks MAP award as they not only spend at least 8 minutes on a recap of the previous episode, but as SOON as they return to a climax point, the producers love to pull the rug from under us and tell us…nah, one more week.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

12/18/22

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Eri (My Hero Academia)

Reasoning: The QUEEN of working in silence. Eri was born into a life littered with greed and crime and used for the production of her quirk rewind; an ability that allows her to rewind organic matter into its previous states. Eri has proved to be the MVP as she has been relentlessly training her ability in order to reset the tides of this all out war.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MIP Award: Ritsu (Mob Psycho 100)

Reasoning: First of all, this was a phenomenal episode…however this is about RITSU. DOG. He finally became honest with himself and his feelings allowing him to reach unseen levels of strength. His determination and growth from the first season is definitely something that even the viewer can feel proud of.

What's Your Perspective ?

  • Agree

  • Disagree

MAP Award: Queen (One Piece)

Reasoning: Jeez this guy is annoying. How are you a cyborg-dinosaur hybrid, but can't kill a blondie who kicks. From his days torturing Luffy in the Prisoner Mine to his perfectly annoying laugh, Oda really knows how to make a character that you're supposed to hate. Dont even get me started on his musical numbers…ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM

What's Your Perspective ?

12/11/22

MVP: Most Valuable Player/ MIP: Most Improved Player/ MAP: Most Annoying Player

MVP Award: Nico Robin (One Piece) vs Makima (Chainsaw Man)

Robin Reasoning: The Demon Child, otherwise known as Nico Robin, has one of the most tragic backstories to date throughout the One Piece Saga. Robin has been forced to remember her journey, trials of hardship and the friends she so desperately fights to protect. This episode has revealed the depths at which she will go in order to triumph over her opponent and blaze a path forward for her crew and the people of Wano.

Makima Reasoning: “Getting it back in blood” from another city, Makima is one of the most interesting characters to debut in Chainsaw man thus far. From her cool temperament to her terrifying and mysterious abilities, Makima has shown the audience a taste of what sh
