East Hartford, CT — May 16, 2026 — Independent artist MilkyWaay, in partnership with
Omniscient Studios, will host The Best 16 Cypher at Small City Studios from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, bringing together emerging artists for a night of performance, freestyle, and community driven creativity.
The event features a structured Best 16 showcase alongside an open cypher over beats from MilkyWaay, Omniscient Studios, and Connecticut based producers. The freestyle portion will not be recorded, creating space for artists to experiment and connect without the pressure of constant content capture, while the overall experience emphasizes networking and in person collaboration.
Leading into the event, Omniscient Studios will release its upcoming album City Soul on April 24th, a project rooted in the New York sound with introspective themes around self awareness, ambition, and navigating through life. “Hip hop has always been rooted in community and shared experience,” said Adonis, founder of Omniscient Studios. “This event is about bringing people into the same space to create, connect, and push each other forward.”
